2017 Nfl Mock Draft 7 Rounds Ravens
The NFL draft is still more than a month away and it is the middle of mock draft season, even though teams are still evaluating prospects. That doesn’t stop the speculation or projections, though.
What will the Arizona Cardinals do in the draft?
21 hours ago It’s NFL Draft season and as America’s top prospects take part in their respective pro days, the mock draft craze is heating up more than ever. The Eagles have needs and the No.6 overall pick.
NFL.com’s Chad Reuter has a new four-round mock draft and projects the Cardinals start with defense in the first round and then with offensive players with their Day 2 picks.
Arizona, of course, does not have a fourth-round pick, so Reuter’s projections for that round don’t matter for the Cardinals.
Here are the picks for Arizona.

Horn continues to be a very popular pick for Arizona at No. 16.
Horn is a physical cornerback who reminds me of Marlon Humphrey when he came out of Alabama in 2017. Humphrey was selected 16th overall by Baltimore in that draft, so it makes sense for the Cardinals to snap up a potential replacement for Patrick Peterson at this slot.
It makes sense. He matches the profile and skill set of a player the Cardinals want at the position. It is one of their greatest needs and his talent matches the draft slot.

Round 2: Arizona State WR Frank Darby
The Cardinals need help at receiver and the Sun Devils have had a receiver picked in the first round each of the last two years. Darby was supposed to be the next great one but his 2020 season was derailed by an injury in the season opener and the shortened COVID schedule.
He doesn’t have top-end speed but plays faster than he looks. He is very physical and has strong hands. However, he disappointed in the Senior Bowl with some drops. There is some potential but he isn’t a clear upgrade over who they currently have.

Round 3: Missouri RB Larry Rountree III
Vasha Hunt-USA TODAY Sports
Rountree found the end zone a lot in college. He had 47 total touchdowns and 42 rushing scores in his last three seasons.
He rushed for over 1,200 yards in 2018 but followed that up with 829 yards and 972 the next two seasons. He is 5-foot-10 and 210 pounds. He isn’t a burner but is plenty fast for his position.

Let’s take a full dive into 2017 NFL mock draft scenarios for the Baltimore Ravens, using Fanspeak’s “On the Clock” draft simulator.
With projected compensatory picks added in for all teams, here’s a look at how our full seven-round mock draft ended up for the Ravens.
This year’s class is fairly deep at all three of the Ravens’ biggest positions of need, so they can really let the draft come to them. In this scenario, Wilson is a better value than what was on the board in terms of receivers and pass-rushers. His combination of size, physicality and ball skills could quickly make him a No. 1 cover man at the next level.
With the retirement of Steve Smith, the Ravens are losing an undersized but explosive and physical pass-catcher who can stretch the field. Thankfully, Henderson has a very similar skill set and is picking up steam as one of the more underrated receivers in this class. He’s got a solid frame despite being under six feet tall, and his film and production speaks for itself.
Finding an eventual successor for Terrell Suggs in this draft should be a top priority, and thanks to an extremely deep class of edge defenders, the Ravens just might find a starting-caliber player this late. Rivers killed the all-star circuit, showing both the size, athleticism and versatility to be worth a Day 2 pick.
Ronnie Stanley is locked in at the left tackle spot, but the Ravens need improvement just about everywhere else. If Ricky Wagner leaves in free agency, finding a replacement at right tackle becomes a huge need. Moton is a massive, powerful blocker who would be a perfect fit at that spot, or even inside at guard.
Corner isn’t the only spot in Baltimore that needs an infusion of young talent. Jerome is a small-school stud who, like Rivers, made the most of his opportunities to shine against top competition in this year’s all-star games. If he tests well at the Combine, he may not even last this long.
Injuries along the offensive line are inevitable, which makes quality depth a must. This year’s offensive line class isn’t great, but there are still some potential Day 3 bargains like Fuller, who had a solid week of practice at the Senior Bowl.
The Ravens have plenty of backs in the stable already, but injuries have held the unit back, which could send them looking for more depth in this year’s stacked class. Conner’s name is well known thanks to his triumph over cancer, and his success after returning to the field was nothing short of miraculous. His physical running style would be a great fit and worth the pick here.
You can never have too many young, talented defenders to rotate up front, and Hester is an interesting prospect. The 6-3, 300-pounder has racked up 31.5 sacks over his four years with the Rockets, including 13 sacks and four forced fumbles.
