It is unwise to bet on Burrow to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award at this price though since a 2/1 return (Bet $100 to win $200) on his NFL Rookie Odds isn't exactly breaking the bank. Josh Jacobs -700. Kyler Murray +400. Arizona Cardinals dual-threat quarterback Kyler Murray opens the year as the top Offensive Rookie of the Year threat. He’s been atop this group since Rookie of the Year odds came out, and his talent and status suggest he’ll stay there for at least a little while longer.
Now that we know which players landed with which teams, we can take a more in-depth look at scheme fits, depth charts, and projections to help make informed decisions on the futures betting markets for awards such as the 2020 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
The obvious favorite to take home Offensive Rookie of the Year honors is No. 1 overall pick Joe Burrow. That said, there are a handful of running backs and wide receivers, and a couple of other quarterbacks who could prove to be serious contenders.
Here are the betting odds to win 2020 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Odds courtesy ofFanDuel Sportsbook as of May 4, 2020.
Jonathan Taylor, RB, Indianapolis Colts (+900)
Taylor fell into the Colts’ laps in the second round (No. 41 overall), despite his impressive Combine performance and wildly productive college career at Wisconsin. He will have to share touches with Marlon Mack, who is coming off a 1,000-yard season in 2019, but if he is able to establish himself as Indy’s lead back, Taylor could end up going north of 1,200 rushing yards in his first professional season (the Colts have the premier offensive line in the league).
Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, Kansas City Chiefs (+500)
When it comes to matching up an offensive scheme with an individual player’s skillset, Edwards-Helaire may have landed in the perfect spot. The former LSU running back will likely have a significant role from day one, and as we all know, the Chiefs have arguably the most explosive offense in the NFL.
Joe Burrow, QB, Cincinnati Bengals (+250)
Nfl Rookie Of The Year Betting Odds Week 9
Burrow will almost surely be the Bengals’ Week 1 starter, so there will undoubtedly be growing pains at times in 2020 for the reigning Heisman Trophy winner. Nonetheless, the Bengals did overhaul their roster this offseason, and Burrow’s projected group of pass-catching targets (A.J. Green, Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd, Alex Erikson, C.J. Uzomah, Gio Bernard, and Joe Mixon) is a surprisingly talented group.
Nfl Rookie Of The Year Betting Odds Ncaa Football
If Burrow fills up the stat sheet and leads the Bengals to seven or eight wins, he will be nearly impossible to beat here.
